Blackwell encyclopedia of sociology
The library has purchased the electronic edition of the 11 A-Z volumes of the 'Blackwell Encyclopedia of Sociology'. Edited by George Ritzer, published by Blackwell, Malden, 2007.
The dictionary provides expert definitions and explanations of the key concepts, with materials that have historically defined the discipline and introductions to sociological theories and research. It is extended 3 times a year with new entries.
The electronic edition can be accessed through different search options: through the table of contents, by using Explorer for sophisticated browsing across subjects, people, periods, places and key topics, or by using a Quick Search or Advanced Search option.
You can access the online edition via the library's catalog or directly through http://www.sociologyencyclopedia.com
A password is not necessary as access is regulated via the WZB IP number.
